GIS102G: Creating Geodatabase

This course teaches essential concepts and skills needed to efficiently create a geodatabase, add data to it, and realistically model the real-world spatial relationships inherent to your data. You will learn about unique geodatabase features that help ensure data integrity over time and why the geodatabase is the preferred format for storing and managing geographic data. Course concepts apply to file-based and multiuser ArcSDE geodatabases. This course is taught using ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced.

  • Format: Instructor-Led Offline or Online Course
  • ArcGIS Version used in Training: 10.2
    • Online Mode:
      • Duration:  Total : 16 hrs appx.
        • Theory: 4 hrs = 4 days [ 4 Saturdays ( 1 hour per lecture per Day  ) ]
        • Practical: Exercises will be provided for hands on with software which students will do in their time and can discuss the doubts in group session or individual sessions as convenient. ( appx 8 hrs hands on material)
        • Doubt clearing session for each exercise will be conducted ( appx. 4 hours total )
        • Additional 1 to 1 one session will be conducted with each student upto 1 hrs at their convenient time, if requested by student.
      • Custom schedule can be developed after discussion with the student based upon their needs.

    • Classroom Mode:
      • Duration:  2 Days ; 8 hrs/day.
        • Practical: Exercises will be provided for hands on with software which students will follow during the training with assistance provided by instructor.
